We are completely over our H1N1 illness. Everyone is (and has been) feeling back to normal and we are back to our “normal” routine. We are back to our school “work”.

We went on a field trip to a Greek Orthodox Church to get a little culture.

We really enjoyed playing dress up with their amazing costumes.

Those Greeks, sure know how to cook!

They throw a dandy of a party.

Back to swimming.

Back to soccer.

Showing them how its done!

Back to stomping in puddles…

Feelin’ fine enough to play some music.

and to share a smile

or not

He is back to being a trick riding boy.

So we are jumping for joy!

Because we are back to running the good race, to the finish, at our normal pace.

My husband started feeling bad around the time he put all the kids in bed. He seems like he feels much worse than the children have felt. But aren’t most men big babies when they are sick? My two year old daughter Amelia woke up screaming bloody murder. I ran upstairs and threw on the light fully expecting her to have fallen out of her crib. Nope. I scooped her up out of her crib and immediately felt that she had a fever. She was crying hysterically telling me there was a “guy in her bed” and  “side- uhs” and “say-ks”. Luckily I am able to decode her toddler speak and quickly realized she thought she saw spiders and snakes in her bed! Bless her little heart! Can you imagine!? A friend mentioned she could have been having fever induced hallucinations. I took her temperature and it was around 103. I am not sure if this is high enough for hallucinations or not. (Please leave me a comment if you have any idea. ) I gave her some Tylenol and prayed like crazy because I was a little shaken up. When her fever finally subsided a bit, she fell back asleep and slept pretty well. with her feet in my back.

Today has been pretty good. Briana and Payton are on day 4 and are fever- free. They are both still not feeling well and are congested and coughing a little. Payton is extremely whiny but still wanted to play all day. Briana has been complaining of a headache but she was still able to catch up on some school work and paint a little. Juliana is on day 3 and has been fever free for 2 days and only has a slight dry cough. I think she has fought it off amazingly well. Amelia has only been feverish today. As soon as the fever reducer starts to wear off she starts to get back up to the 103 mark pretty quickly. Other than coughing a few times she has no other symptoms.

We have just been praying a lot that God protects us from any complications and heals us quickly so we can get back to normal. We have been eating and drinking all that we can. And resting. So far it still seems to be fairly mild. Thank God.

I am still wondering though. How are other people doing with it? And dealing with it?
