Surviving Disney, Barely
With Kids — By admin on April 29, 2010 at 7:27 amI haven’t been updating like I had hoped while on vacation. Disney is like this beast that swallows you whole and then spits you back out all battered, sunburned and exhausted …. on a daily basis, yet we keep going back for more. We are on day 6 of 8 and honestly, I am not sure if I am going to make it. Don’t get me wrong, we are having the time of our lives. But I am not sure how much more my 7 months pregnant body can take. Somehow yesterday, while swimming I got sunburned on my legs and my belly, you know, the kind of sunburn that makes your muscles hurt. Disney survival tip # 57,846- reapply sunscreen, often. Not that my legs weren’t already hurting from all the walking. I think its the extra 10 lbs of pregnancy weight that is doing me in. I can’t tell you how many pregnant women I have seen in wheelchairs. And believe me, I understand. But I think of wheelchairs, like I think of strollers- more hassle than they are worth..
The bed in our room isn’t exactly resort quality if you know what I mean. It’s like sleeping on a board. Hello, Disney? Old Key West needs some new beds..thanks.
Now that I have officially complained more than my 3 year old, who I am happy to report has still been stroller free the entire trip, without complaining.. I will leave you with an image.
Amelia with her very first Coke ever. Priceless.
