Random question: I am starting my own blog to share my photography experiences. Do you find it hard or easy to post consistently?

You are so right about the camera! I actually have a great external flash but I am usually too lazy to throw it on there. That lens sure looks great..our anniversary is soon ;)
Thanks for the comment, and the tips!

Aw! What a great Christmas!

If I had to make a guess on the dark area in your pictures, I would guess that you're using an SLR's pop up flash and a large zoom lens that is zoomed fairly wide. Am I right? It looks like the lens might be blocking the flash's light from hitting the whole picture area.

A bounce flash like the SB 600 (or maybe even the SB 400) should fix that.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001S2PPT0 ...another bonus would be better-lit pictures and less blinks b/c you can angle the flash at the ceiling.

...or you could get a flxed length lens like the 35mm 1.8 lens. You lose the ability to zoom and get the 18mm wide angle...but you'd gain crisper pictures and the ability to shoot in lower light w/o flash. It's about as much as the SB 600, I think.

It would go great on a...Christmas...list. Hm. You might need to have a birthday soon...
