Sleepwalker PartII

Motherhood — By admin on November 13, 2008 at 10:35 am

So if your wondering how the sleep study went, it was very uneventful. There was no sleepwalking or talking or any of that. Really not even much snoring. NumberTwo was so nervous as they were hooking her up to all these leads that she was shaking like a leaf. I felt so bad. I just sat by her side and cracked jokes with her to try to ease her worries. I had a hard time with the bed time routine knowing someone was “watching” us. She was fidgeting a lot so I told her to say a little prayer. I think she must have fallen asleep in the middle of it because she fell asleep with her hands clasped together.
I didn’t sleep very well. I tossed and turned and had strange dreams. I kept waking to check on Two because I was afraid she would get tangled in all the wires. She didn’t though and seemed to sleep pretty well considering. So now we begin the three week wait for the results.

My granddaughter had just the opposite problem. From birth she required very little sleep. She would wake up after a couple of hours or sleep and be wide awake, even as an infant. She never slept all night until she was nearly 4. Today she is 12 and still needs much less sleep than most kids. Hope you find out what’s going on. It’s always scary when the little ones have problems.
